The European Robotics Forum (ERF) 2024 took place from 13th to 15th March in Rimini, Italy. This was a key event in Europe in the field of robotics organized by EuRobotics and the University of Bologna with the aim of bringing together experts, researchers and industry leaders to exchange ideas, experiences and the latest developments in the field of robotics.
This year the head of LARIAT prof. Ivana Palunko attended the ERF as an invited speaker where during the second day, on March 14th, at the workshop “Success Stories from EU Funded Projects”, together with Claudia Hertel-ten Eikelder from the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA), she presented the project H2020 SeaClear . The H2020 SeaClear project was selected by the European Commission as one of seven projects to be presented as βSuccess Storiesβ funded by the European Commission, which is a great recognition for the SeaClear team and their work.
In the afternoon session, Ivana Palunko gave a presentation on the HORIZON SeaClear 2 project and a panel discussion of the workshop “Marine Robotics for Environmental Monitoring and Preservation” which further emphasized the importance of innovation and research in the field of underwater robotics and environmental protection.
The ERF represents a platform for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and experiences among experts in the field of robotics, and this participation contributed to expanding horizons and promoting innovations in the field of marine robotics as well as a great promotion of the University of Dubrovnik.
This year’s EDF 2024 was attended by over 1,100 participants from over 40 countries.
