As part of this year’s Dubrovnik Days of Creative and Cultural Industries, an event organized for the twelfth consecutive year, Laboratory for Autonomous Intelligent Systems (LARIAT) actively participated in the program dedicated to the preservation of the Adriatic seabed and the promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration between science, art, and the creative industries.

On the second day, November 13 in Lazareti, LARIAT’s Iva Pozniak opened the exhibition “Fragments of Humanity: Personification of Waste”, while the panel discussion “BLUE VISION – Creative Guardians of the Depths” featured Ivana Palunko, head of LARIAT.
Iva Pozniak’s exhibition visually highlighted the relationship between humans and waste, demonstrating its impact on the marine environment and emphasizing the importance of responsible behavior and awareness in preserving the seabed. During the panel discussion, key questions were raised regarding the preservation of the marine ecosystem: How can the creative sector contribute to the protection of the sea? Can art inspire the community to act more responsibly? Are innovations the key to a clean seabed? The discussion further highlighted the importance of cross-sector collaboration and the role of cultural and creative industries in shaping a sustainable future for the Adriatic.

The Days of Creative and Cultural Industries will take place from November 12 to 15, bringing together experts, artists, educators, and representatives of the cultural, creative, and social sectors. LARIAT’s participation in the event once again confirms its commitment to connecting science, art, and social responsibility, creating projects where inspiration is transformed into concrete action for the preservation of the Adriatic Sea.
