With an inspiring turnout and a moving atmosphere, the multimedia exhibition ๐

Blending art and science, the exhibition asks compelling questions:
Through photography, sculpture, sound, and text, Iva Pozniak delves into the emotional, ecological, and social dimensions of litter. Dolls found along the Dubrovnik coastline โ once symbols of innocence, now discarded โ are reimagined in haunting coastal landscapes. These works personify litter as an expression of collective repression and forgotten memories, invoking Carl Jungโs concept of the shadow self.
Fractions of Humanity is not just an art exhibition โ it is part of Pozniakโs doctoral research at the University of Dubrovnik, supported by the SeaClear12.0 project and LARIAT. Visitors are invited to complete a short, anonymous survey upon entry, contributing to an ongoing study on emotional responses to marine litter and public ecological awareness.

The journey begins at Sumratin Bay, a once-vibrant social space now marked by abandonment, mirroring societyโs complex relationship with the environment. Sculptural arrows made from collected marine litter guide guests to Galerija Flora, where the gallery space โ bathed in blue tones and original ambient sound โ invites quiet reflection and emotional confrontation.
