On this year’s Earth Day, the University of Dubrovnik’s lecture hall had the privilege of hosting the SeaClear 2.0 Blue Event organized by the University of Dubrovnik and the Regional Agency DUNEA, Community of Practice.

Participants were presented with interesting lectures about sea pollution and EU projects aimed at protecting the sea.

We proudly highlight presentations held by dr. Ivana Palunko, head of LARIAT, where participants were introduced to Horizon SeaClear project’s aims and achievements, and by LARIAT’s researcher Iva Pozniak, whose inspiring presentation about marine litter left no one indifferent.

The most exciting part for the participants, mostly students, was visit to LARIAT’s lab, where they witnessed autonomous robots collaborating with humans towards the shared objective of cleaning our seas, preserving ecosystems, and safeguarding our planet.
