We are pleased to share that Iva Pozniak, from the Laboratory for Intelligent Autonomous Systems (LARIAT) at the University of Dubrovnik, participated in the RSA Central and Eastern Europe Conference during the special session SS02: Waste: From Management to an Opportunity for Civic Awareness and Truly Sustainable Practices. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ

Iva presented an abstract for the paper “Plastic Waste: A Behavioral and Societal Problem,” co-authored with Marijana Peฤ‡areviฤ‡ (University of Dubrovnik, Rectorate Office) and Ivana Palunko (University of Dubrovnik, LARIAT). The paperโ€™s core argument is that while plastic waste is often seen as the primary cause of environmental pollution, it actually reflects deeper societal and behavioral issues.๐ŸŒฑโ™ป๏ธ

We thank the session chairs Federico Venturini and Andrea Guaran from the University of Udine, Italy, for leading this vital discussion. ๐Ÿ™
The conference, with 135 participants from 35 countries, fostered a global dialogue on the evolving dynamics of Central and Eastern European (CEE) regions. As these regions continue to undergo significant internal and external restructuring, new regional differentiation and development patterns are emerging! ๐ŸŒโœจ
