ACROSS received a 5-year extension

In October 2020, the Ministry of Science and Education evaluated the work of the ZCI-ACROSS: Centre of Research Excellence for Data Science and Advanced Cooperative Systems with an excellent grade and decided to extend its activities for a further period of five years.

LARIAT crew professor Ivana Palunko and Vicko Prkačin are members of this ZCI as a part of the Research Unit for Advanced Cooperative Systems (IJ ACROSS) led by professor Ivan Petrović from UNIZG-FER. Vicko is one of the PhD students within the centre and Ivana is the head of LARIAT and UNIDU lead for this project.

The Centre of Research Excellence for Advanced Cooperative Systems (ACROSS) is an interdepartmental research centre at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. The centre performs research in cooperative systems related to robotics, networked embedded systems and renewable energy systems.

ACROSS is the first and only national center of excellence in the field of technical sciences in Croatia, inaugurated at the end of 2015. The center brings together thirteen prominent organizations, including eleven higher education institutions from Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Osijek and Dubrovnik, as well as the Ruđer Bošković Institute and the company Ericsson Nikola Tesla.
